Recent research suggests pain education can be an important aspect of recovery from chronic and acute pain experiences. Having a basic understanding of how pain works on a biological and neurological level may reduce the intensity of your pain experience. With that in mind, I've tried to simplify this often complex subject into ease to understand language. I've also included some exceptional short videos that help to explain pain in a helpful way.

Self massage techniques have become popular over the last few years with the advent of foam rollers in varying shapes and sizes and a multitude of different massage balls. Although helpful these techniques do have their limitations. I've included a selection of ideas on how to use these tools safely and effectively.

Simple movement exercises and techniques can be really helpful in you fight against nagging aches and pains whilst also improving your body awareness and range of motion. I've presented a selection of easy and effective techniques from which you should be able to find something that is helpful for you.

You'll also find information and advice on using mindfulness, meditation and breathing practices which over and over again have been shown to be really helpful in combating pain, stress and anxiety.
